Morning at the Temple

12/1/10

questions were suddenly answered
with nothing to fear or worry
guidance, from someone you don't even know
full enlightenment(+)understanding
.
in a moment I'm inspired
humanistic buddhism is love
I'm reminded to be more kind, compassionate
to open my mind(+)follow my heart

*As I left the hsi lai temple, I was given a small piece of paper that said: "Patience and tranquility bring good feelings. Modesty brings good affinity"

Really awesome fisheye photo! And wow, I don't possess any of those qualities. I really need to though, huh?

What a lovely quote. That first picture is brilliant.

I love the quiet ambiguity of your words and photographs. I always feel like I can connect.

Last nite (as a result of my insomnia) I picked up a book on my bedside trunk - The Teachings of Buddha. I read it years ago, but I'm falling in love with it all over again, and wouldn't you know, the timing of the words are perfect. Kinda funny how that happens.

I just adore the colors of these images, not to mention the exotic nature. You always notice such interesting details in each place you seem to visit. Is this in LA?

oh! Love the new header and name change! Genevieve is such an adorable name :)

It might be sacrilegious to post this response here, but... you need to go to Ihop! I think they still have pumpkin pancakes. It's most definitely an essential American experience (why is it that so many of those are fast food related?). I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, as well!

Beautiful words and post. When I lived in Asia I loved visiting the temples. They are so full of peace and calmness.

Love the new look of the place. And that quote is so true, although it's usually harder to follow than it seems. Glad you found some peace of mind though =]
