Finals...

12/15/10

what do you do to de-stress?
it's our week of finals
(+)our anxiety levels are on a whole other planet
too many projects to hand in,
which leaves little time to actually study for exams
i'm drinking lots of green drinks,
tea, power smoothies
but somehow still feeling stressed...
Help!

you should take extra B & C vitamins - they regulate your stress hormones!

You can do it!! Good luck with finals!

I take bubble baths and light some candles. Relieves SOME stress at least!

Good luck with your projects and exams!

yoga. one semester my husband and i (boyfriend at the time) did just one yoga during finals week and it helped. Yes it takes away time from getting stuff done but if you're less stressed you're likely to focus more and be more efficient. Plus, you won't look back on finals week as the worst thing ever to happen in your life! haha

Wish I could help but I'm looking for the same answer too. I'm just trying to take one day at a time and think about how it's almost over and soon I'll be able to relax. Only 2 more days of classes left for me!! Good luck on your finals :)

I'm afraid I can't help with this at all. I'm always pretty wound up, but I try to get a lot of my work done in advance. Procrastinating is the enemy!

Eeep! Finals time is the worst, which I can say firsthand having finished my last two yesterday. Since it sounds like you haven't got much time to de-stress, try... studying outside, if it's nice; meditate for a few minutes; exercise or take a bath (with your notes, if needed); cook a meal and enjoy it before getting back to work; sleep. I'm pretty sure I only survived because of the treadmill, chocolate, and periodic five minute study/essay breaks.

Good luck! You're nearly done!

Hang in there!
Take lots of breaks and be sure to get enough sleep. Oh and think of the days off you'll have for winter break! ;) Good luck dear!

i had finals two weeks ago, so i feel your pain. my main way of de-stressing is brew a pot of coffee, take a really hot shower, watch an hour of mindless TV, and snack on good, yummy foods like yogurt + apples.

good luck!

aww i feel for you Kim. i think just the sheer thought of knowing that soon, you'll get to enjoy the holidays, should help get you through. just think - you're nearing the finish line!!

2 words: RED WINE!! I have a horrific commute, and red wine decompresses me. I also exercise.

Awesome photo!

I smoke even though it's a bad habit. Or, take a hot shower, wear something super comfy like pajamas, put in my ipod headphones and take a loooong nap.

Finals week is the absolute worst. I usually listen to music, and eat things that are really bad for you (ha!). Good luck, and just think about how you're almost done!

run run and run. not for exercise but just as hard and fast as you can. then walk back :)

Good luck with finals!! When I'm stressed, I make sure to give myself a few hours to just explore or eat - and then work out later, since it releases endorphins which make you happy! (I sound like an informerical right now, don't I?) Hope the stress feeling goes away soon!

Oh girl, I am right there with you. Luckily, I'm almost at the end (one more day!) so I'm feeling pretty good. I like listening to music and taking time to read a magazine article or something in between taking practice quizzes.

Hope you've come out on the other side alive!! Exams are the WORST. De-stressing for me is always involves a BIG meal and a phone call to a friend who can make me laugh.

I am all about bubble baths and hot tea to help de-stress! Good luck with your finals!

I like working out, having an evening where I take a nice shower/paint my nails, buying flowers, drinking tea, and lighting a candle in the evenings. I hope your finals are going well!
