independence day

7/9/12

monday, already? how did that happen? i just dropped my mom off at the airport. it's always sad saying goodbye, but i know we'll be seeing each other soon, in a month to be exact.

well, i thought it might be fun to share our 4th of july pictures today, even though they're a bit late. how delicious does that dessert look? whole foods always makes the best fruit tarts, so fresh, so crisp! i'd order this on a weekly basis if i wasn't at all concerned about my waist line.

my friend reinna is the loveliest, and her family is always spoiling us with such tasty food. this time, we kept our bellies full with bbq'd mahi mahi burgers, guacamole & chips, and watermelon juice, yum! we always leave their home so happy, and since this was my mom's first visit, she left extra happy, i'm sure of it!

[i think this might have been the only picture taken of me that night, and it was an instagram, go figure? i'm always hiding behind the camera]

how did you celebrate the 4th? what did you eat?
